Since 1983, Jean Bellanger has surrounded himself with top professionals to consolidate the first plots to building a modern winery. Working in conjunction with the Faculty of Oenology at the University of Bordeaux, he was a pioneer of low-temperature winemaking and maceration of the outer envelope of the grapes.
His son Frédéric also has the support of a faithful team of dedicated experts: Samuel Mestre (agricultural engineer and oenologist who trained at the University of Toulouse) is the estate’s director, Camille Giai travels the world to represent Château Roquefort across four continents, and Clémence Brochard welcomes visitors and manages all relations with private individuals. They are supported by more than 15 permanent staff-members and numerous seasonal employees who work at the vineyard and complete the harvest. All are committed to a single goal: making Roquefort a benchmark for Entre-Deux-Mers.
